Extension of nuclear power: the State obliged to pay more than 40 million euros to Ondraf

This sum should theoretically have been lodged with Hedera. The problem is that this company, which is being set up to accommodate the 15 billion in provisions that Engie must pay to the Belgian State as part of the nuclear agreement, still does not have a committee. direction. Several Vivaldi parties have in fact refused to make the appointments, believing that the decision was up to the next government.

A first royal decree dated December 25, and which has just been published in the Moniteur, therefore provides that the State will pay 38 million to Ondraf to cover the bulk of nuclear liabilities for the first three months of 2025, given that “the transfer of financial responsibility for nuclear liabilities borne by the federal state to Hedera has not yet taken place”. Another decree will follow, for a little more than 4 million.
