With a renewed vision, the Amani association is entering a new strategic phase, with the presidency entrusted to Yasmina Baddou. From Casablanca, the NGO intends to strengthen its action in favor of disadvantaged children and lay the foundations of a holistic support model, combining education, culture and solidarity.
During its first annual meeting, the Amani association’s priorities for the coming decade were revealed. Founded in 2013 by a group of committed Casablancans, the association has already left its mark on the national associative landscape thanks to its global support model.
By renewing its office in September 2024 and entrusting its presidency to Yasmina Baddou, former Minister of Health and emblematic figure of social development, the NGO displays a clear ambition: to strengthen its leadership and its actions in favor of education, culture and solidarity.
A strengthened vision under a new presidency
Unanimously elected, Yasmina Baddou succeeds Younes Slaoui, founding president of the association. This transition marks an important step in the evolution of Amani, now driven by governance focused on social innovation and strengthening local impact.
During this meeting, leading political and associative figures, including Naïma Ibn Yahya, Minister of Solidarity, and Abdelatif Maazouz, president of the Casablanca–Settat Region, praised the association’s achievements.
An integrated and inclusive educational model
Amani stands out for its holistic approach. Children selected, based on social and academic criteria, benefit from personalized support through support courses, educational workshops as well as cultural and sporting activities. The “Amani campus space”, at the heart of this strategy, is designed as a place for learning and personal development. An upcoming renovation and the creation of a recreational center will strengthen this ecosystem.
A partnership for rural girls
Since 2017, Amani has been collaborating with the Akhiam association in the Imilchil region to fight against school dropouts, particularly among girls. This partnership, renewed for 2025, aims to promote education as a lever for social advancement and to break the cycle of poverty in remote areas.
Ambitious outlook
Under the presidency of Yasmina Baddou, Amani intends to increase education and solidarity projects, while further involving families and volunteers. Initiatives such as mentoring and school guidance forums reinforce a collective dynamic, part of a sustainable and inclusive vision.
