AMDH warns of fraud in Nador

The Moroccan Association for Human Rights (AMDH) Nador section highlighted the growing difficulties encountered by Moroccans, particularly in Nador, in obtaining visa appointments, pointing out illegal practices and exorbitant costs linked to these requests.

The AMDH office in Nador sent a letter to the consul general of the Kingdom of Spain in Nador and to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad concerning the manipulations linked to obtaining appointment to apply for a Spanish visa.

« After listening to some of the citizens concerned, the association noted the difficulties encountered by Moroccan citizens in obtaining appointments for their visa applications, which the company BLS International in Nador is responsible for organizing.“, specified the AMDH in a press release.

She indicated that it has become almost impossible to obtain an individual appointment on the official website of the company responsible for this service, thus opening the way to the emergence of illegal networks responsible for making appointments. you using encryption techniques (SCRIPTS, ROBOTS), at exorbitant costs of up to 5,000 dirhams per person.

Added to this is the levy of fees simply for making an appointment with the company mandated to process the requests, then followed by additional payments, part of which goes to BLS International and the other to the consular services.

« It is important to note that these fees are not reimbursed to the applicant if their request is refused, which imposes undue costs on citizens for a service from which they did not benefit. In the absence of regular appointments, citizens are sometimes forced to request home service via the official website, with no real difference from the normal procedure, except the prohibitive cost which exceeds 2,600 dirhams. The situation is exacerbated by the congestion and degrading treatment suffered by citizens at the entrance to the company concerned.“added the same source.

In this worrying context, the AMDH in Nador calls for urgent intervention by the competent authorities in order to put an end to these abusive practices and to eradicate this degrading treatment inflicted on Moroccan citizens, which constitutes an attack on the freedom of movement enshrined by international human rights conventions.
