A park warden attacked and robbed in Sherbrooke

According to the Sherbrooke Police Department, the event took place around 6:40 p.m. “We were called to go to the park. The on-site caretaker was operating his leaf blower to clear snow from the walkway near the pool. He was pushed in the back aggressively by a violent man,” says the spokesperson for the police organization, Martin Carrier.

The park ranger did not confront the individual and took refuge in his cabin to call 911.

“Thanks to a good description, our officers found the suspect on Saint-Thomas Street. He is very well known to the police,” confirms Mr. Carrier, adding that the blower in question was found in the individual’s home.
