Two motorists were transported to hospital with serious injuries after leaving the road in Pointe-à-la-Croix, in Gaspésie, during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday.
The swerve that occurred on Boulevard Perron Est, around 1 a.m., did not involve any other vehicle.
“Road conditions and the presence of a spare wheel on the car could be contributing factors to the loss of control,” indicates Frédéric Deshaies, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
In all likelihood, there would be no criminal implications in this matter.
The two men who were in the vehicle were taken back to hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
