The filmmaker and actor will shoot scenes from his next film in this town, 80 kilometers northeast of Cahors, from the end of March 2025, as Actu.fr reveals. Filming is expected to last a month and a half and extend into May. Shooting is also planned in Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne (Corrèze). The production company Iconoclast Films is in charge.

A “psychological thriller” mixed with “a great love story”

A large casting call was organized in November 2024 in Saint-Céré and alerted residents. But the title and distribution remain secret. To tell the truth, little information has filtered out about this feature film from the director of “Tell No One” and “Little Handkerchiefs”. “It’s a psychological thriller and a great love story”simply confided Guillaume Canet in an interview with M6 while he was promoting two other films.

Guillaume Canet displays it in “Le déluge” and “Ad Vitam”

Currently, he is starring in “The Flood”, released in theaters on December 24, 2024. The public can also see him in “Ad Vitam”, directed by Rodolphe Lauga, available on Netflix since January 10. The latter recorded 17.1 million full views in three daysaccording to the Netflix newsletter and figures, signing one of the best starts for a French film on the platform.

Between gripping thriller and poignant romance, the filmmaker's next opus promises beautiful emotions… and a spotlight on Lot's heritage.
