Back cover

“Consciousness, once awakened, must be expanded. The workers have nothing to lose but their chains. United, they will win. » This book is a fictionalized autobiography of the journey of Daniel, 70 years old, who dedicated his life to social progress and raising employee awareness of the importance of collective consciousness. During his career, he has worked in two-thirds of the country and in numerous companies and temp agencies. Despite this, it is clear that for generations, his family has worked tirelessly and has never become a millionaire. For the author, this is proof that you cannot become rich through work. On the other hand, the physical and mental repercussions of work and this liberal society on the health of those around you are very present. Based on this observation, Daniel then joined the company as employee advisor, staff representative and CSSCT. It was then that he suffered and witnessed anti-union repression. This book is full of funny, surprising anecdotes, ranging from his teenage period to his desire to act, including job breakups with bosses, directors, and CEOs, whom he compares to despots.

The adjuster checks the finished parts from time to time, discusses with the employee the bonus, the time given for the series, it is he who adjusts the speed of the multi-spindle drills, a well-paid job but with the bonus. Daniel was quite happy, from Gigi's the bus was direct to the terminus and then an eight hundred meter walk to reach Lendex. Daniel had contact with an employee of Lendex, a comrade of the PCF, rather nice at first glance, he asks Dudu if he knows the Communist Party? He answers yes, that he has an uncle in the Party! Marcel wants to explain to this young person that in the party there is a branch called the JC, the young communists, the idea excites him because Marcel is talking about the bosses, the capitalists, the working class. Suddenly, in May 1968, there were communists leaving the school, revolutionary communists! Marcel replies that these are young revolutionary communists JCR who made common cause with the party, were dissolved after 68. He gives him the address of the PCF in Angers and to finish the discussion asks me to join the CGT, Daniel asks him to meet at work because he considers that there are problems with drilling. »
