The French observatory for tornadoes and violent storms, Keraunos, has just published its traditional national report on storms in France. The results are not out of the ordinary, since 2024 was a “moderately stormy” year. Last year, therefore, there were more than 40 days when thunder rumbled in Essonne. This is a long way from the most impacted department, the Alpes-Maritimes, and its 87 days of storms. Finally, the day when the sky was wildest in the country was June 29.
