UNITED KINGDOM – This is excellent news within the British royal family. Princess Kate, who announced at the beginning of September that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment, declared this Tuesday, January 14, to be “relieved to now be in remission” of his cancer.

“As anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer knows, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. However, I am looking forward to the year to come”wrote Prince William’s wife on social networks.

The princess will resume her royal commitments

Kate, who celebrated her 43rd birthday on January 9, visited the Royal Marsden Hospital in London on Tuesday where she was treated for her cancer, to thank the staff and provide support to the patients. During this visit, she greeted the “extraordinary work” carried out in this hospital.

In February 2024, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles III was suffering from cancer, without specifying the nature, and that he was withdrawing from public life to undergo treatment.

The following month, Kate revealed that she also had cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy, before announcing in September the end of her treatment.

Omnipresent in the media before the announcement of her illness but almost invisible afterwards, Kate announced that she was going to resume her royal commitments.

At the beginning of November, Prince William, heir to the throne, confided that the past year had been “brutal” and probably “the hardest” of his life.
