Councilor Line Bisson slams the door of the Sainte-Pétronille municipal council, a fourth resignation in less than a year which testifies to the difficult climate which reigns within the small municipality of Île d’Orléans.
The councilor announced her departure during the municipal council meeting on Monday evening.I am leaving because I no longer want to work in a climate of negative energy, closed-mindedness and denial of reality

Sainte-Pétronille has been in the spotlight for more than a year after putting on notice nearly a hundred citizens who demanded clarification on the appointment of the general director, Nathalie Paquet.

This conflict between citizens and the council table led in particular to the intervention of the Sûreté du Québec and the resignation of three other councilors. Last month, a report written by Mario Caron, special advisor mandated by Quebec to support the municipality, reported a climate that remains difficult.
I am leaving because, as an elected official, my voice is not heard enough. It took the intervention of Mr. Caron to update numerous elements that certain elected officials had been trying to assert for 6 months
continues Line Bisson.
