More than 98,000 equal opportunities cards produced

“Today, the State of Senegal has produced 98,126 equal opportunity cards linked to social safety net programs such as family security grants, universal health coverage and the transport system,” said Mr. Faty who explained that, “the equal opportunities card is a flagship disability inclusion program in Senegal. It is established by law and regulated by a decree.”
The director of the promotion of the protection of disabled people, Mamadou Lamine Faty reports the Aps, made the declaration during a regional development committee (CRD) focused on the installation of the multi-sectoral regional committee for the management of disability and of accessibility to assistive technologies in Ziguinchor in the presence of the deputy governor of Ziguinchor in charge of development, Alsény Bangoura.

Adding: “with the support of partners, such as the project to improve access to the digital economy of Senegal, Senegal intends to produce by 2029, 705,000 equal opportunities cards or certificates disability”.
