A person trapped in his car after an accident in Orne

Shortly before 9 a.m. this Tuesday January 14, 2025a person had an accident on the RD310, at the Carrefour du rendez-vous, located in the town of Saint-Martin-du-Vieux-Bellême (Orne), towards Bellême.

Need help getting out of the car

The car was found damaged in the ditch, on its wheels, according to the departmental fire and rescue operational center. Inside, the accident victim was trapped in the passenger compartment. Slightly injured, she was able to move around in her car, but could not get out.

Nine firefighters

Trapped, she needed outside help to get out. As can happen when doors are damaged, in particular.

The victim was taken to hospital from Alençonin light condition. On site, nine firefighters from Bellême, Mortagne-au-Perche and Bretoncelles intervened, as well as the gendarmerie and the services of the Department of Orne.
