Canada Post believes that this price increase is “necessary to better align the price of stamps with the increasing cost of providing the service.”

With the increase in stamp costs, Canada Post is expected to have nearly $80 million in additional annual gross revenue. It’s huge!

This increase in stamp costs will have numerous impacts for businesses or people who are still used to sending letters or packages with Canada Post.

Per year, Canada Post has estimated that an average Canadian household would have to pay $2.26 for stamps. For a small Canadian business, this cost amounts to $42.17 per year.
