Claire GENET’s crazy but rather fun challenge…

In the young woman's opinion, it's for sure! After the success of the first visit, last weekend, a second date to experience accompanied by its mascot in the capital – a goat! -, will indeed be put on the agenda. She already mentions that of Saturday February 8! What does “Super Biquette” really think?! The animal was able to discover with its owner, Claire GENET, around ten cheese shops located in where the good products of “Ferme de Claire” are already sold. From the producer to the consumer with the added goat as a visual witness: the Parisians must have appreciated it!

PARIS : At each store visited, time for a photographic pose with the favorite mascot! Claire GENET is not short of air! Nor any ideas in terms of communication to promote its goat cheese production. Cheeses of different variations and with exquisite creaminess that she makes every day on her pretty farm, near Saint-Bris-le-Vineux. “La Ferme de Claire”, for aficionados who go there regularly to buy the coveted products.

The young woman with a dazzling smile, champion of the ULTERIA ecosystem, took care to go to the French capital this Saturday, January 11 to meet several of her distributor clients, cheesemakers from different districts, highlighting the know-how of the young Icaunaise. In the past, it has already received recognition from its peers for several of its specialties during the International Agricultural Show.

There, it was accompanied by “Super Biquette”, the farm’s favorite goat, that Claire rode to Paris, roaming the streets of the capital on foot alongside her critter! A goat on the sidewalks of Paname must have talked a lot in the evening in the Haussmann buildings, right?!

The incredible career change of a young engineer!

What a path traveled by the former…sales engineer who made a serious personal and professional change of direction five years ago by ensuring a reconversion that was, to say the least, unexpected: setting up her goat farm in order to produce cheeses. ! And it was not in Larzac that the young lady had decided to settle down, but rather just a stone's throw from .

To date, Claire GENET takes care of a herd of 160 Alpine breeds. As for the milk produced, organic in addition, it allows the manufacture of delicious farmhouse cheeses made from raw milk, to delight epicureans.

« I was able to make this Parisian getaway to visit my cheese clients during this period and without difficulty, because it is much quieter in winter because the goats are dry.she explains.

The animals rest during the months of January and February before giving birth. However, methodology requires that at Ferme de Claire, the rhythm of births is spread out, which offers the happy opportunity to benefit from milk all year round. Ideal for enjoying yourself!

A goat is wandering around Paris!

For “Super Biquette”, on the other hand, the Parisian program was more rhythmic. Milking demonstration, tasting of glasses of hot organic goat's milk, but also taste buds and caresses from the Ile-de- residents, so happy to see a goat in their neighborhood!

Claire GENET had warm contacts with the inhabitants of the capital who asked a multitude of questions about the profession of goatherd/cheese maker, raw milk, grazing, organic, farm goat cheese, animal feeding, the design of cheeses, etc.

Real pedagogy which calls for other visits to the capital, that's for sure. Let her be reassured: with Paris having twenty districts, Claire GENET will be able to continue at her leisure her sessions to popularize nature, animals and their products with a population who does not always see something to clear their minds in the metropolis. A slightly crazy challenge, but really fun!
