Jogging went wrong. A young man was rescued this Saturday not far from the village of Saint-Lary-Soulan, in the Pyrenees, when he went for a trail at Cap de Laubère, located at a little over 2,200 meters above sea level.
The sportsman, aged 25, reports La Nouvelle République des Pyrénéeswas dressed only in shorts, a windbreaker and sneakers, while the weather conditions quickly deteriorated. The latter then called his mother, who in turn notified the emergency services.
The young man's initiative angered the rescuers: “We no longer know how to say it so that people don't do anything” declared the latter at France Bleu.
The Pierrefitte-Nestalas High Mountain Gendarmerie Platoon (PGHM) intervened using a helicopter to extract the trail runner.
“If we had had to intervene on foot, his survival would have been committed in this outfit” they explained on on France 3.
