South Finistère: the typical team of the weekend #10

Team of the weekend for the 10th day from January 11 to January 12 in R1, R2 and R3

Already established in the third typical team of the season, and mentioned several times, Théo Penven has regained his stripes as number 1. Despite the two goals conceded against the Amicale d'Ergué-Gabéric (4-2), the goalkeeper from US Moëlan was really decisive in avoiding the Gabe equalizer a few minutes before the break.

Scaërois Erwan Déas could also have taken a place in the goals.

Mathéo Bourglan (US Trégunc), Alan Brouquel (SM Douarnenez) and Lucas Rannou (EA Scaër) make up a three-man defense. Winner of AS Ginglin-Cesson (3-2), the Trégunois, very well supported by his brother Sacha, rose to the occasion against the best attack in R1 and he was not far away to add a goal to his remarkable performance. At his side, the Douarneniste will be solid in the position given his XXL performance against Cep (0-0) in R2. As for the Scaérois, also in R2, he proved to be an impassable bulwark against FC Quimperlé (3-0) and therefore deserves his third selection of the season.

The tactical plan of this three-axial defense penalizes the two Moëlanais full-backs, Maël Garnier (left) and Pierre Sivy (right), who could have been in this team.

MIDDLES – A five-player midfield

The middle is made up of three players in the center and two off-center who “piston” up and down and vice versa. On the left, Douarneniste Matéo Loth-Guillon made a remarkable entrance by playing the wisps in attack while proving very valuable in defensive tasks. On the right, we find Quimperlois Titouan Le Masson whose percussion qualities earned him a fourth selection despite his team's defeat at Scaër. The most offensive of the three axials is called Gauthier Sylvestre. The young Thonier was decisive (a goal and an assist) in the great victory of the US Concarneau reserve in Pontivy (1-5), leader of R1, and he can therefore enjoy his second selection. Second citation also for Louis Raffaitin who scored the goal of the Trégunoise victory against Ginglin (3-2) in R1. With Mickaël Jambou from Scaël, he forms the pair of defensive midfielders for the tenth typical team from South Finistère.

Trégunois Dann Egret, Quimperlois Guillaume Le Goff, Moëlanais Mathis Jacob and Penmarchais attacking midfielder Nathan Madec (two goals) were also cited.

Little Evan Le Gall and big Jérémy Hill should make a complementary pair in attack. The first scored two of the five goals in US Concarneau B's success in Pontivy, and if the second's double, in three minutes, was not enough for AEG to achieve a result in Moëlan (4-2) , the beauty of his two gestures earned him a second selection. Also note, in R3, the doubles of Concarnois Aidan Mc Bride (R3) and Gourinois Wiland Sopgui-Brais.
