a French tourist found dead in his caravan

A French tourist, born in 1940, was found lifeless in his caravan parked on his land in Souk El Gour, near El Hajeb.

According to local sources, the tragedy occurred last Thursday around 5 p.m. A butane gas leak is believed to be the cause of the fire which claimed the life of the holidaymaker. However, an investigation was opened by the Royal Gendarmerie to clarify the facts.

The septuagenarian regularly stayed in the region with his Moroccan wife, originally from the city. The couple used to spend their vacations between Meknes and Souk El Gour, where they owned land.
