A new public prosecutor appointed to the Court of Appeal

Sunday January 12, the appointment of Pierre Sennes was made official as the new prosecutor general of the Court of Appeal. He replaces Patrick Mathe, who is retiring.

Patrick Mathé asserted his retirement rights in October 2024. Since 2018, he has been the attorney general of the Agen Court of Appeal.

His successor has been appointed. This is Pierre Sennes. The news was made official on Sunday January 12 in the official journal. The latter has been the public prosecutor at the judicial court since 2021. Previously, the magistrate was stationed in , , , and even . In particular, during his visit to -Atlantique, he dealt with cases which made the headlines of the national newspapers. For example, the Fiona affair, the Aboubakar Fofana affair (a young person killed in Nantes by a police officer) or even the Troadec affair.

The new attorney general is not unknown in Lot-et-Garonne. Pierre Sennes, in fact, began his career in the 1980s as a substitute public prosecutor at the Agen high court.
