Geneva: The only program for violent minors disappears

The only Geneva structure offering support for violent minors is closing down. Since 2008, the Face à Face association has offered a program aimed at adolescents aged 13 to 20. Young people were sent by the Juvenile Protection Service, the Juvenile Court, homes, schools or parents. The Federal Health Office recognized this course, which has benefited more than 5,000 young people, including those from Vaud, since its creation. According to the association, cited by the “Tribune de Genève”, the non-recidivism rate reached 89%. Alas, the director, the psychologist and the doctor who were in charge are all retiring. And no buyer has been found.
