Galerie 208 and the Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech have the honor of presenting “Silent Elevations”, a unique exhibition dedicated to the internationally renowned Moroccan artist, Mahi Binebine.
Through a unique selection of large sculptures and vibrant paintings, the exhibition invites visitors to immerse themselves in a profoundly human and universal universe. This exhibition, which will be held from January 29 to March 28, 2025, constitutes a first in Morocco: for the very first time, a large part of Mahi Binebine’s monumental sculptures will be unveiled, alongside a collection of paintings highlighted in an exceptional scenography. Among the series presented, one recently attracted the attention of the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), which included a work in its prestigious collection.
The exhibition is part of the 1-54 contemporary African art fair and the Marrakech African Book Festival. In parallel with this exhibition, Galerie 208 is also participating in 1-54, where it will highlight a selection of works by Mahi Binebine, but also by Armand Boua and eL Seed which will soon be exhibited at the Mandarin Oriental.
A large wall bringing together 34 works from this unique series will constitute one of the highlights of the exhibition, magnificently showcased within the MO Studio. During this day, visitors will have the opportunity to meet Mahi Binebine, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., upon registration.
-On this occasion, lithographs numbered and signed by the artist will be offered exclusively, in a privileged setting reserved for 60 participants.
