Sunday January 5, 2025, Laurent Berthomayor of Saint-Gilles-Vieux-Marchénorthwest of Loudéac (Côtes-d’Armor), detailed the three priority projects which will transform the town center and support local life.
The old bar-restaurant
As we know, the former bar-restaurant Névo will be transformed into 4 social housing units. The community of communes has these housing units built on the town square. This construction is well advanced and is restructuring the space that has remained empty since the demolition of the building.
“This will be a plus during the visit of the national flowering jury which is due to come this year,” underlines the mayor.
The cost of this operation is 800 000 € for Loudéac Community and 108 000 € for the municipality (acquisition then demolition of the building).
Three accommodations in a house
The transformation of the little house of the municipality in three accommodations will also mark the year. Two duplexes and the third in place of the current garage.
End of work estimated for this summer, for a total cost of 456 000 € HT including €205,000 payable by the municipality.
The reopening of the La Vallée hotel-restaurant
The La Vallée establishment has been closed since February 2023. Since May 2024, the community of municipalities has owned the business.
In January 2025work will be undertaken in the kitchen and to bring the electrical circuits up to standard.
A manager is interested. It is currently in the negotiation phase with the banks. The reopening should take place in May 2025. “Everything will be ready for the Tour de France,” hopes Laurent Bertho.
