According to BFMTV, however, the two men were suspended following reports to the bishopric concerning their behavior. “Two adult women came forward to the Church to complain about their behavior” before Christmas, explains the press release from the Bishop of Saint-Brieuc and Tréguier. The latter contacted the public prosecutor, who opened an investigation.
“Withdrawal from their mission”
“So that the investigation can proceed peacefully, and while awaiting its conclusions, I asked the two priests involved to withdraw from their mission,” specifies the bishop. “I saw this on Friday on the Internet, I couldn’t sleep all night,” said a parishioner at Independent courier. “They were simple, friendly priests who knew how to make themselves loved,” also regrets a resident of Trévé. For another parishioner, they left an ambiguous, even chilling, memory: “Why don’t you invite me to your house? », asked one of them regularly.
