Two years ago, on this same lawn, the Rémoises had already come close to the feat against the Lyonnaises, in the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France. The qualification between the two clubs for the last four had already been decided on penalties. In the spring of 2023, OL qualified after an endless session (2-2, 8-7 on the tabs).
