Defensive headache for David Hubert? Two notable absentees for Anderlecht ahead of the clash against Bruges – All football

After their respective qualifications in the Belgian Cup a few days ago, Anderlecht and Club Brugge face each other today in the Jupiler Pro League.

The rest of the 21st day of JPL today offers some great posters, including the clash between Anderlecht and Bruges which will be played in Brussels.

The Mauves will not be at full strength for this summit match. Indeed, Het Laatste Nieuws confirms the absences of Moussa N’Diaye et Ludwig Augustinsson who are not in today’s team. The absence of the Senegalese, who suffers from a hamstring problem, was almost certain.

And for his part, the Swede started against Beerschot in the cup but came out injured. This means that David Hubert will have six defenders for the match against the JPL runner-up, with Engwanda, Foket, Lapage, Maamar, Sardella and Simic.

As expected, Zanka is not in today’s team either. He is leaving and awaiting his transfer to LA Galaxy. Finally, it is still too early for César Huerta, who was only recently presented as Brussels’ first winter acquisition. He is also logically not in the team for this match.

In the event of a victory, Anderlecht would return to the podium ahead of the Union and would come within five points of their opponent of the day. The Blauw & Zwart could take off if they win, and above all maintain the pressure on leader Genk.
