Isère. A 22-year-old woman gives birth on the train with the help of a conductor

This is undoubtedly the great story of the start of the year for the firefighters and the SNCF in Isère. A story that ends well for a young woman and her baby, even if the circumstances in which she gave birth to him this Sunday morning were particularly uncomfortable and certainly sources of worry and strong emotions.

It was around 8 a.m. this Sunday morning when the Isère firefighters were alerted as a 22-year-old woman was preparing to give birth. She was on a train at Saint-Marcellin station when labor began and it was, accompanied by a controller and following the advice of the emergency services on the telephone, that she gave birth to a little boy. Little boy who was already there when the firefighters arrived on site to take care of them.

According to the latest information, mother and baby are doing well. They were transported to the Romans hospital center.
