Collective Mobilization in El Jadida to Protect the Most Vulnerable

Thus and according to……on January 4, 2025, a first operation was organized in the town of El Jadida. A night tour made it possible to identify people in very precarious situations in different strategic neighborhoods. The social teams of the National Mutual Aid Delegation, reinforced by the participation of local authorities, provided immediate assistance, including the distribution of blankets and hot meals. These actions were accompanied by the transfer of beneficiaries to the temporary reception center, set up within the former Mohammed V provincial hospital. This secure place offers the homeless essential protection, adapted social services, as well as a framework conducive to support towards social integration.

On Friday January 9, 2025, a new targeted intervention was carried out in administrative districts 4 and 5. From 11 p.m., the mobilized teams, made up of the National Mutual Aid delegate, the social assistance team, a representative of the social action section of the Prefecture, the head of administrative district 5 and her auxiliaries, as well as agents of administrative district 4, began a night tour. At the end of this intervention, four homeless people were identified: three men from district 5 and a woman from district 4. They were transported to the temporary reception center to benefit from suitable accommodation and care. . In addition, blankets and light meals were distributed to other beneficiaries identified during this operation.

This intervention ended at 1 a.m. and reflects methodical organization and exemplary collaboration between the different parties involved. The direct impact of these actions is measured through the immediate improvement of the living conditions of the beneficiaries, but also through the establishment of medium-term support, including social consultations, basic health care and social integration programs.

The “Winter 2024/2025” campaign highlights the importance of collective mobilization to respond to the challenges posed by precariousness and social exclusion. It also underlines the need for a lasting commitment to the values ​​of solidarity and humanity. In El Jadida, this initiative was welcomed by residents, who recognize the importance of these interventions to guarantee a dignified life for all.

These actions are part of an overall vision carried by the National Mutual Aid Delegation and local authorities, aiming to establish a dynamic of collective support and strengthen social protection mechanisms. The “Winter 2024/2025” campaign demonstrates the capacity of local actors to respond effectively to the needs of the most vulnerable populations, while strengthening the spirit of social cohesion within the community.
