A fatal accident occurred on the road from Louga to Dahra, causing the death of Pape Oumar Guèye, the head nurse at the Labgar health post. The tragedy took place near the town of Koki on Friday around 8 p.m.
Mr. Guèye was returning from a meeting held in Louga when he hit a horse on the road with his service motorcycle. This violent shock led to his immediate death. The rapid presence of the Koki gendarmes made it possible to secure the scene and report this tragic accident.
The body of the nurse was taken care of by the firefighters before being deposited in the morgue of the Amadou Sakhir Mbaye regional hospital center in Louga. This passing represents a considerable loss for the local medical community as well as for the inhabitants of the Labgar region, whom he served with commitment and dedication.
