If you have to take the train this Monday from or to Belgium, you will need to make your arrangements. A 24-hour strike notice has in fact been given to SNCB. It will apply from this Sunday, January 12 at 10 p.m. until Monday, January 13 at 10 p.m.
In addition to trains, other public transport services will also be disrupted this Monday in Belgium, due to a demonstration organized by the union common front in Brussels to defend “decent pensions”.
Disruptions to expect
According to information communicated by SNCB on its website, users should expect a series of disruptions for Monday:

One in 3 IC trains (the trains that connect major cities) runs

One in 5 S and L trains circulates

Most P trains (trains reinforcing supply during peak hours) do not run.
For the moment, the details have not been communicated on the main lines that connect Belgium to Luxembourg, namely Bruxelles-Luxembourg, Athus-Rodange and Liège-Gouvy-Troisvierges.
