Tension rose a notch this morning between the FDS and the populations in Paoskoto, in the department of Nioro (Kaolack). Indeed, the latter encounter a lot of problems in obtaining the precious liquid. Worse, Flexeau deployed its agents on the ground to carry out meter readings. Fed up with high bills and the maneuvers of the water company, these populations pounded the tarmac before blocking National Road 4 (R4) to show their anger against the company. This was not without consequences in the face of the FDS who did not let the demonstrators disrupt road traffic. Thus, several arrests and injuries were recorded.
