A 64-year-old man who had lived for more than twenty years in southern Africa: this is the information that the Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) shared the day after the announcement of the death of a Swiss national in a prison in Semnan , about 200 km southeast of the Iranian capital. On Thursday, Iranian justice affirmed that he had committed suicide after asking his cellmate to bring him food. In the process, the head of communications for the DFAE, Nicolas Bideau, confirmed the death of the Swiss on X.
