Télévisions expands its information offering for young people

After the success of What is the information?the current affairs event for 12-18 year olds presented by Nacer Boubekeur and Marianne Théoleyre, Télévisions is expanding its offering for young people and launching Mission info, a new weekly information program aimed at 7-11 year olds.

Since its launch in September 2023, What is the information? accumulates 160 million views on TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube, and brings together a community of more than 200,000 subscribers on the networks. Between January and December 2024, the number of videos viewed each week increased tenfold

From Sunday January 12, France Télévisions is offering Mission Infothe only television news program aimed at 7-11 year oldsand broadcast on Okoo, YouTube, france.tv and franceinfo.fr.

Every week, Mission info explores a current topic with a new dynamic trio: Myriam Bounafaa, Raphal Yem et Elise Lambert. Each 10-minute episode, designed for children and their parents, offers insight accessible to young people, mixing explanations, immersive reports, expert interviews. A fun quiz also invites children to test their knowledge in a fun way.

With this new offer, complementary to What is the information? France Télévisions continues its commitment to inform all French people and support young people in their discovery of current events by offering them reliable benchmarks to understand the world around them and to develop their critical thinking.

This Sunday, January 12, Mission info will be dedicated to the start of the school year in Mayotte, with:

  • a reminder of the facts and explanations with Myriam Bounafaa
  • an exclusive interview with Soprano, favorite personality of 7-14 year olds, who launched a support fund for the victims of the cyclone, by Raphaël Yem
  • a report by Elise Lambert, meeting the Mahorais community in Creuse, which is organizing to send school supplies and food to Mayotte.
