Even in the gigantic hall of the Palazzo hotel, there is not enough space when some 1,500 start-ups have to be accommodated there. So in this section of the CES (Consumer Electronics Show), the stands generally consist of a table and a flat screen. But those in the Swiss pavilion catch the eye, surrounded by the bright yellow of Swisstech.
Among the twenty or so young companies to have made the trip to Las Vegas, some already have a presence on the American market. The one that many others hope to seduce between January 7 and 10. Nicola Colombo apparently only needed a few hours. This Wednesday, he already has an invitation in his pocket to present E-Skimo, a pair of electric skis, in a resort next month. “They want to make a decision quickly,” explains the Gris-based entrepreneur whose company is based in San Bernardino, in the heart of the Swiss Alps.
