MR supporters under the jeers of teachers from the City of Liège: “With this government, we are all losers” (photos)

“If we freeze them, it is not for our salaries, but for our students”: teachers in the City of Liège are walking off the job.

It is our youth that is being sacrificed“, denounce Sandra and Isabelle Charlier, union delegates of the CSC Verviers, who distributed “lottery tickets“to the many political men and women who came to attend Georges-Louis Bouchez’s speech.”Did you lose? Like thousands of teachers“, we can read on one of them. “With this government, we are all losers.” deplore the trade unionists, who “refuse to sit idly by“. “Today, it’s the qualifier… tomorrow, what awaits us?“, concludes Isabelle Charlier.

Although the evening began calmly, some demonstrators were quick to become particularly offensive, not hesitating to insult.the assassins of education“. The police have also, on several occasions, reprimanded the few students who uttered insults towards politicians and the liberals who responded to them by showing their middle fingers.

Under the whistles and boos, they often did not fail to proudly greet the thin crowd before posing all smiles for our photographer’s camera.

An hour and a half of screams and palpable tension later, still no trace of Georges-Louis Bouchez, to the great dismay of teachers and unions. Flags and banners folded, the demonstrators finally retreated around 7:40 p.m., missing the long-awaited president of the Blues by three minutes.
