The Swiss will probably have to speak out on electronic identity. The Mass-Voll group announced Thursday that it was launching a referendum against e-ID.

Digital monitoring and control are becoming more and more extensive. The Swiss people put an end to it and rejected the e-ID in 2021 with 64% saying no, recalls the group. “In complete disregard of the will of the people, Parliament still wants to introduce the e-ID. This is unacceptable!”, says Mass-Voll.

The collection of signatures begins this Thursday, the group tells Keystone-ATS. He has until April 19 to collect the necessary 50,000 signatures.
