A Norman chip shop in the Top 15 of the best French chip shops

The portal for chip shops in France and Belgium, les-friteries.com has just unveiled its 2024 ranking of the best chip shops according to the vote of Internet users. Nearly 1,500 chip shops have already been referenced on the site since May 2013, the year of its launch.

This year again, without much surprise, these are three chip shops in Hauts-de-France who share the podium. But a Norman chip shop, Marie des Pieux chip shop was able to do well in the game. She ranks at the 15e place with a note approaching the 5 stars.

A chip shop already on the podium in the past

The chip shop, which celebrated its twenty years of existence last year, had already distinguished itself in the past. In 2018 and 2019, the small chip shop which has its headquarters in the parking lot of the Intermarché des Pieux, rose to 8th and 14th place respectively in the now annual list.

In 2023, the Friterie Marie occupied an honorable 58th place, far ahead of another Friterie Nord Manche, 115th in this ranking established according to the popularity index of establishments obtained in 2023. Only La Frite en Nord – now closed – had managed to climb into the top 15, in 14th place behind around ten establishments in Hauts de France.

A great recognition

In just a few years, Marie and Olivier Legros, a couple from Ch'tis, have managed to build customer loyalty.

Apart from the fries cooked in beef fat, we also find the essential fricadelles and other preparations, the composition and caloric value of which we let you appreciate, which please young and old… eaters every day. All products are northern. The beer, the sauces (Tuche, Ch'ti, Samouraï…), the maroilles… are made in the North of France.

Remember that the Marie chip shop is open Monday to Friday from 11:30 a.m. for lunch and 6:30 p.m. in the evening.
