A small village, Valentine, nestled in the wild landscapes of Nova Scotia. A community of miners, men and women whose lives are punctuated by work and traditions. Every year, Valentine's Day is celebrated with particular fervor, a moment of joy and sharing. But beneath the surface of this normality, a shadow looms, a tragedy as dark as the coal in the mines. A terrible accident, trapped miners, and only one survivor: Harry Warden, forced to feed on his comrades to survive. This macabre story became the starting point of a sinister legend.
Valentine's Day Murders (1981), the cult slasher directed by George Mihalka, can be rediscovered during the next lovers' celebrations. A Blu-ray edition made from a restored high definition master is currently in preparation by publisher Sidonis Calysta. The release is scheduled for the day before Valentine's Day 2025, i.e. February 13.
This classic will be presented in a Blu-ray + DVD combo Digibook edition accompanied by a booklet. Pre-orders are open.
