It's time for the winter break for the Football clubs in the East of the Somme. Who performed? Who is at risk of going down? We take stock at mid-championship.
the football clubs that play the climb
At division 3 level, the Olympic of Monchy-Lagache et the Sainte Emilie Epehy Sports Agreement made a good start to the championship (3rd and 4th with 12 and 11 points in 7 games), even if at the top, Albert USOAAS 2 took a step ahead (19 points).
In division 4, after their good run in the Coupe de France at the start of the season, the ES Licourt (15 points) et l’US Roisel (14 points) are well placed to play for the rise at the end of the season. The two clubs from the East of the Somme occupy the first ranks alongside US Hangest-en-Santerre (15 points). ASF Hombleux (13 points) also keeps all its chances for first place in the event of a good series.
And in division 5, the balance sheet is better than perfect for US Harbonnièresa team currently undefeated (24 points in 8 games), promotion to division 4 should follow at the end of the season.
They occupy the middle of the table
In regional 3, the AS of Pays Neslois has had its ups and downs since the beginning of September. With 10 points collected in 9 matches, we will have to continue to collect a few more victories to validate our continuation at the end of the season.
If the course in division 4 of ECAFC Péronne is encouraging (3rd with 14 points in 10 matches), the gap of 13 points with the first (27 points for Longeau ESC2) limits the hopes of advancement. And in division 5, RC2 Ercheu has a good chance of continuing at this level at the end of the season (12 points in 8 games).
They fight to maintain
A Division 1, US Rosières-en-Santerre is in great difficulty at mid-season (minus 2 in points and a goal difference of minus 32). After his good run in the Coupe de France, AAE Chaulnes will try to save itself at the end of the season (5 points in 9 matches).
In division 2,‘US Ham (6 points in 8 games) and l’US Marchelepot (3 points) will have to work hard to avoid a stressful end to the season.
Finally, in division 4, Estrées-Mons FC is good last (minus 1 point) and is experiencing a turbulent season (match lost following the presence on the field of a sanctioned player, and above all a general brawl, on September 8, 2024 against the Roisel team which finished ahead of the court).
