This program, organized in collaboration with the French Embassy in Morocco, is part of the implementation of the Declaration of Intent signed between the two countries last October, under the aegis of HM King Mohammed VI and French President Emmanuel Macron, for supporting and structuring the ecosystem of the cultural and creative video game industry.
The training, which extends over nine months (January 6 – October 3, 2025), aims to strengthen the professional and managerial skills of young Moroccans in order to promote the development of the gaming industry in Morocco and consolidate the Kingdom’s positioning. as a key player in this area.
On this occasion, the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, considered that Video Game Creator “illustrates all the potential offered by prestigious collaborations between institutional and academic partners from both sides of the river. Mediterranean”, adding that this program “is intended to become a model of what Euro-African cooperation can produce as excellence”.
Highlighting the importance of the gaming sector and the prospects it offers in terms of employability, with qualified and high value-added jobs, Mr. Bensaid noted that with a quality program like Video Game Creator, “we can hope to reverse the brain drain, because gaming is an art of storytelling, and it draws on our cultures, our imaginations, our memories.”
“We are today able to produce a quality African cultural and creative industry, which can compete with confidence in the global market and in turn export its excellence,” he maintained.
For her part, Agnès Humruzian, cooperation and cultural action advisor at the French embassy in Morocco, indicated that the program is the result of several months of cooperation with the ministry, the UIR and the school. French company ISART Digital specializing in the video games industry.

The cultural industry in France as in Morocco, she said, is both attractive and favorable to the creation of employment opportunities and innovation, hence the central place it occupies in the cultural partnership between the two countries which encompasses aspects of training and incubation of startups.
In the same vein, Karin Houpillart, co-founder and co-director of the ISART school, affirmed that the Kingdom, thanks to its promising talents and its exceptional cultural, historical and artistic wealth, has a “unique opportunity to become a key player in the video game industry, not only on an African scale, but also on the international scene”.
This training is part of a larger-scale project with a structured and sustainable ecosystem, capable of attracting studios from around the world as well as investors and generating new professional and economic opportunities for Moroccan talents, he said. she explained.
The Video Game Creator Program is carried out in partnership with three institutions, namely “ISART DIGITAL”, the second best electronic game development school in the world, responsible for training with its academic team, the UIR which hosts the training cycle , and the Higher Institute of Audiovisual and Cinema Professions, which will provide the necessary logistical resources.
With the aim of reducing social and territorial disparities, young Moroccans will benefit from full coverage of tuition fees, usually very high for this type of training, thanks to partners, and will be offered employment opportunities and hosting solutions.
