“Following the passage of storm Floriane on Sunday evening in a large part of France, 40,000 homes are currently without electricity, widely distributed between several regions, notably Ile-de-France (mainly in the Seine department -et-Marne with 3,700 households affected), Centre-Val de Loire and the Grand Est,” he told AFP.

Enedis adds that its technical teams are currently on the ground to restore electricity to affected homes as quickly as possible. They had been pre-mobilized this weekend following the first weather alerts.
The manager also reminds that as a safety measure, you should never touch fallen wires or an object in contact with a power line.

Météo France has placed 21 departments – 19 from the northern half of France as well as the Loire and Rhône departments – on orange alert for the wind overnight from Sunday to Monday.
