Dordogne. A bakery highlights a collection of 10 French artisanal beans

The Céleste bakery in , in Dordogne, presents a collection of artisanal beans made in Isère.

In a context where 95% of the beans available on the market come from Asia, the Périgord bakery highlights French know-how.

Support the short circuit

Thanks to this initiative, the Dordogne bakery presents old postcards of Bergerac on its beans and brings the town back to life in the last century.

We produce nearly 2000 pancakes in the month of January. For this, we have planned some 2600 beans“, indicates Frédéric Collery, baker since 2021 in Dordogne.

By offering local beans, Boulangerie Céleste wishes to support the short circuit. At the same time, it offers its customers collectibles that tell and celebrate the history of Bergerac.

Quality and generosity must come first in our products, including our beans. Made to measure, they invite pancake lovers to remember the past in an original way“, maintains the baker.

Made by hand

The collection contains 10 beans. Among these, we find emblematic places of Bergerac such as the covered market, the quays, avenue du pont and rue du port.

Each of these pieces has been carefully designed by Panessiel, the leading French bean maker. Made from porcelain, they are decorated one by one by hand in in a workshop dedicated to people with disabilities.

All the galettes des rois from Céleste, whether brioche or frangipane, are entirely “made in-house and with noble ingredients“.

This year, the Dordogne bakery is offering beans bearing the image of the town of Bergerac.
