More than 30,000 people attended the New Year's Eve cavalcade in Saintes on December 31. And this 63rd edition kept all its promises with a show hosted by dancers, brass bands, majorettes and also farmers to tow the floats.

Nine floats, thirteen musical groups, Colombian dancers, Polish majorettes, in all, more than 260 people put on the show this December 31 in Saintes. And among the participants, we count Valentin, a farmer who lent his two tractors to pull the tanks. This first participation in the Saintes cavalcade enchants him : « We party, there are beautiful settings. We put garlands on our tractors, it's great. »

In the procession, we can also admire certain artists from far away, even very far away, like this Polish majorette : « It's really great, there are a lot of people. It's a little stressful but it's really Nice » or this Colombian dancer : « Everyone comes from everywhere and it feels like home. We all feel the same things. »
And the enthusiasm of those who put on the show is shared by the thousands of spectators who came to Saintes :
The floats are magnificent, the parade is magnificent and the weather is favorable. It's magnificent.

For the hundred volunteers who have been organizing this evening for months, this success is a reward. Angélique Peyredieu is the president of the New Year's Eve Carnival Association : « We are proud because we spent a year preparing this show. People are happy, so happiness today is the most beautiful thing. »
