“Support for leaders and call for unity for a prosperous Senegal”

Youssou Ndour, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Futurs Médias Group and leader of the Super Étoile group, sent his New Year wishes to the Senegalese, while expressing his support for President Bassirou Diomaye Faye and Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko, symbols of new majority. He called on all Senegalese to unite their efforts to support these leaders in achieving national ambitions.

Returning to the significant events of the year 2024, in particular the presidential election and the legislative elections, Youssou Ndour stressed that the Senegalese have, in majority, chosen President Bassirou Diomaye Faye and Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko.

“It is therefore the Pastef party which runs Senegal,” he declared. He praised their ambitions for the development of the country and hoped that God would accompany them in the realization of their projects, for the greatest benefit of the Senegalese. He also encouraged all citizens to contribute to this collective effort by supporting their leaders on the path to success.

He invited the new leaders to demonstrate openness and work in harmony to achieve the objectives of the Vision Senegal 2050.

Youssou Ndour insisted on the need, for every Senegalese, to make 2025 a stage of concrete action, where the initiatives of leaders will have a tangible impact on the populations. He expressed the hope that Senegal continues its momentum to strengthen its image on the international scene, while recalling that these ambitions require joint efforts.

Finally, he greeted the country’s religious guides and urged them to intensify their prayers for Senegal, stressing that any success rests on peace.
