What solutions should be developed to reuse objects and materials instead of throwing them away? A question to which a field study carried out thanks to collaborative work led by Préval has helped to answer these last months, highlighting the quantities of objects received in recycling centers which could be reused instead of being thrown away. At the same time, the Communities of Communes of Val de Morteau and Plateau du Russey highlighted the need to equip themselves with a new recycling center meeting regulatory requirements and the development of new sectors. The center that will be created in Bélieu dedicated to reuse and the circular economy will make it possible to meet these two expectations by giving a second life to objects, while generating local jobs and civic dynamics. This new unique infrastructure – the building is almost entirely built with bark wood – will therefore make it possible to bring together a recycling – material library in order to collect, repair and resell everyday objects, recovery workshops and an educational space in a logic of complementarity and of creating new cooperations. “This new, unique hub in the Val de Morteau and Plateau du Russey sector is part of a dynamic of ecological transition and aims to offer concrete solutions to reduce waste, extend the lifespan of objects and encourage consumption. responsible” rejoice the elected officials. The opening is hoped for during the year 2026.
