There are the Christmas villages XXL with chalets galore overflowing with delicacies or designer jewelry. And there are those, more intimate, in a reduced version, where you don’t buy anything and you can admire them. That of Sleepyin the Gersis in this second category.

Cadeillan, in the south of the department, on the border with Haute-Garonne, is a very small village. 71 inhabitants according to INSEE. He is best known for having hosted a star for several years. A jazz legend to whom the town recently paid tribute by giving his name to the town hall square: Bill Coleman.


It’s a resident who lends it

But for four years, it’s not just jazz fans who have come on pilgrimage to Cadeillan. There are also those who want to admire its Christmas village.

Before going to work or when coming home…

It belongs to a resident of the town, Sabine Saintignan, who lends it and installs it with a few volunteers from the festival committee in the village hall.

It can therefore be admired by everyone, especially since it is free. It’s every morning from 6:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. and every evening from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. until January 6, 2025. Schedules that allow you to share a little magic on your way to or from work or school…

New mini rides appeared last year in this white setting animated by dozens of small characters. Ice rink, skiers, crèche, Ferris wheel, little train, snowmen, sleds and Christmas trees… Nothing is missing in this traditional illuminated fresco mixing eras.
