a new large performance hall has just opened in Strasbourg

For months, heavy works enliven the busy rue du Général Koenigan artery little known for its nightlife and culture.

But things changed with the opening of Quai de Scènea cultural place not quite like the others.

Imagined as a large modular living space, equipped with a bar and two performance roomsthe place will allow you to enjoy a programming that really plays the diversity card.

Théâtre, improvisation, concerts, stand up, DJ sets, the mix of genres and cultures is intended to be broad, and the possibilities endless.

A great house of culture: mixing genres and people

Thanks to an architecture designed to open up spaces in just a few secondsand an eclectic program, Quai de Scène wants to open up to the city and its inhabitants thanks to the stage, but not only.

The director and actress Evelyn Zelada Beicher, at the origin of the projecttells us about the DNA of this new hybrid performance hall : “I have dreamed since I was little of creating my own cultural space, a place that revolves around contemporary theaterbut not only, because I want Quai de Scène to be a place of celebration. I imagined the interior as a space of freedom, openwhere the artists and spectators are all together as if in a big house. With this new place, I want to offer something new, unexpected, immersive, offbeat, based on the performing arts and on human encounters, freedom and spontaneity ».

In no less than 550 m2 (with a terrace soon), Strasbourg residents can now come and have a drink or have a bite to eat to start taking over the nooks and crannies of Quai de Scène. The performances will begin on January 9.

Located in a neighborhood where new developments are rare, Quai de Scène brings with it a breath of fresh air and a more than welcome new proposition. Place of human and artistic meetings, space of creativity, A lot of things are going to happen very soon at the water's edge.
