In , celebration day at the Longue-Chauvière home for the disabled

Thursday, December 19, 48 people, residents and staff, gathered for the Christmas meal at the Longue-Chauvière home, in (Maine-et-), followed by an afternoon of dancing around the festive theme “ça shines”.

Director Jennifer Bourre-Pichon expressed her joy and thanks for organizing this friendly and warm program. Séverine Charrier and Christophe Effrancey, animators responsible for preparing this celebration, wished on this occasion “discuss our 2025 projects, in particular a charter to recruit the new volunteers we need, and encourage new activities”.

Songs and dances

Grégory Abrour, volunteer, rightly shares his “satisfaction in giving your time to help disabled people, with the facilitators”. The afternoon ended with songs and dances. With laughter and beautiful emotions shared for this end of the year, for all the residents of the home.

Managed by Adapei 49, Longue-Chauvière is made up of two main structures, for people with mental and/or psychological disabilities, aged 20 to 62: a residential home for 17 permanent residents, some of whom work a little outside; a medical foster home for 23 people; and day care for eight people.

We offer psychosocial, educational, individual and collective support, with care aimed at promoting the care of these people and facilitating their social integration.
