The elected representatives of the Greater Montauban Urban Community voted, Thursday, December 19, for financial aid for the victims of Cyclone Chido in Mayotte.
Donations are increasing. A financial aid in support of the victims of cyclone Chido in Mayotte was voted, this Thursday December 19during the Grand Montauban (GM) community council.
A surge of national solidarity
Unfortunately struck by this dramatic event, which occurred on last December 14the Mahorese population can nevertheless count on a surge of national solidarity in which the GM participates.
Sensitive to the human tragedies and material damage that this exceptionally large-scale disaster is causing, Grand Montauban wishes to provide its full support,” indicated the Urban Community.
A donation of several thousand euros
During the community council this Thursday, the elected officials of the Montalban agglomeration therefore decided, unanimously, to carry out a gift of 10,000 euros intended for the National Federation of Civil Protection.
Also note that in memory of the victims of Cyclone Chido, a national day of mourning in honor of Mayotte took place this Monday December 23 throughout France.
