Friday, December 20, the middle school students at the Saint-Joseph establishment in Fleurance celebrated Christmas just before school let out.
A certain excitement reigned in the courtyard of Saint-Joseph de Fleurance college on Friday afternoon. This last half-day of the year was made available for fun and friendly activities. To raise the curtain, a mini-concert by the college choir under the direction of Florent Bligny, music teacher, who delighted young people and adults with great classics.
Then, it's time for competitions of all kinds: ping-pong tournaments, precision shooting competitions and dance challenges. Maxence (ping-pong), Owen and Tristan (precision shooting), Ambre and Lilou (dance) were the winners, each in their discipline. Meanwhile, many 4th and 3rd grade students competed in an interactive game about historical figures with seriousness and good humor. This fun time was particularly appreciated by the 3rd grade students who had just worked to take the Brevet Blanc exams.
Maxime, a 6th grade student, is enthusiastic: “It’s great, we don’t have to work, the atmosphere is good with the games and the music.”
In the morning, the middle school students joined those from the Saint-Laurent school to participate in the Christmas mass celebrated by Father Jérôme Bonaldo in the Fleurance church.
A united Christmas
Director Benoît Redolfi added: “The entire educational community was involved in preparing for this festive time, teachers and educational assistants. 6th and 5th grade students also made Christmas cards for residents and staff of the Fleurance nursing homes A few simple words, a few colorings of nativity scenes and Christmas trees to experience this festive time. Around fifty cards will be distributed, without forgetting a card for the nursing staff. takes care of our elders and a toy drive was launched for Secours catholique”.
To conclude the day, a snack and hot chocolate were served. Thus, everyone was able to leave with some happy memories to end the year 2024.
