The Closeaux swimming pool in Rueil-Malmaison will close this Monday, December 30. And it will not reopen its doors before Monday March 3. A closure which should allow renovation work to be carried out. We take stock.

Notice to regulars of the Closeaux swimming pool. This equipment, located in Rueil-Malmaison in Hauts-de-Seine, will temporarily close its doors from this Monday, December 30 and for a period of just over two months. Indeed, the swimming pool will only reopen to the public from Monday March 3, 2025. In the meantime, swimmers are invited to go to the one at the Arsenal aquatic center where their subscription will work. The Closeaux team confirms, in fact, that it will remain valid during the closure period.

Details of the work planned at the Closeaux swimming pool

If the swimming pool closes for such a long period, it is to allow the realization of renovation and maintenance work. And the structure, opened in 1971, really needs it. Carried out by the City of Rueil-Malmaison, this work aims to “continue to ensure the sustainability and quality of aquatic facilities, to improve the comfort of users and the practice of sporting activities”, we can read on the Town Hall website.

In detail, the construction site, which will end the day before reopeningprovides for “the renovation of the water treatment and heating installations, the insulation, the repair of the exterior areas, the painting of elements of the framework of the pool hall as well as the partial renovation of the lockers and cabins of the sanitary facilities and changing rooms,” lists the Municipality of Rueil-Malmaison. Note that the work will be partly supported by the Métropole du Grand which will invest, in total, an amount of €180,000.
