It's time to take stock of the civil status of Saint-Nazaire (-Atlantique)! The City has just revealed the top fashionable first names for girls and boys this year. And it's no longer Emma and Noah who are on the top step of the podium.

In 2024, Saint-Nazaire recorded 2,174 births, including 1,060 girls and 1,114 boys. A figure still falling, almost 200 fewer than in 2023 (2,319 births).

The best girls

After Alba and Emma, ​​this is the first name Amber which is making a comeback this year. It was given 17 times ahead of Jade (16 times) who moved up seven places and Charlie (13 times), who is still popular. Close behind are Alba and Louise tied.

Emma, ​​who was on the highest step in 2023, left the Top 10 for the year 2024, just like Albane, Ambre, Anna and Juliette.
